"But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation." Psalm 13:5
A Christian leader does not lead for his or her own advantage, or on the basis of his or her own abilities, but with a strong sense of God’s purpose and enabling. Having a deeply rooted trust in God enables leaders to remain humble in the face of success and praise, perseverant during times of difficulty and opposition, and to build relationships of trust with others. At SLC this year we will explore how real leaders must learn to trust God's goodness and faithfulness no matter their circumstances in order to establish trust and bring God's peace to their communities.
SLC is a unique opportunity for secondary students to grow in their faith and in their leadership skills, and to fellowship and worship together with like-minded young people from many nations. SLC includes several main sessions, workshops, student discussion groups and time for fellowship and interaction between students and adults. Our desire is to serve your school through student leadership training. It will be important for you to plan with your student team now to prepare for this event.
REGISTRATION online - open from March 1Sep 27-30 OR Oct 4-7, 2023 (for ages 13-18 both weeks) NOTE: The September event is full as of June 10. Please choose the October option. There is still some space for the October event. The registration deadline is September 5! |
- You must have an active ACSI school membership to register.
Program for 13-18 year old students:
We have an SLC program which ensures that the experience for each grade level is appropriate and of the best quality. Students from age 13-15 are provided with their own workshops and discussion groups designed specifically for their needs, introducing them to the foundations of biblical leadership and the character qualities on which to build. Students from age 16 and up have discussion groups and workshops specifically for their age group as well.
We also provide training for older students who want to work and lead activities and discussions with the younger students. High school students who want to serve as discussion group leaders for either age group must participate in a short online training course beginning in early September.
Student Selection:
It is very important to begin your student selection well in advance. Please consider now how this will be done so that it most benefits your students and your school as a whole.
The graduated pricing serves to encourage schools to think about selecting students early so that they will be better prepared for this event. We have many ideas for helping you prepare your students for SLC. We want each student to get the most out of this event, which can only happen with your excellent support, planning and prayer. NOTE: We require contact information for student discussion leaders because they must participate in a short online training course BEFORE the conference.

Week 1 speakers will include ACSI Europe staff and Emily Pigott. Emily serves as the Director of Student Enrichment & Experiences at ACSI and works closely with youth leaders, educators, and students as they navigate through their leadership development journey. She holds the firm belief that this generation is more than capable of greatly impacting our culture for Jesus and has seen firsthand what can be accomplished when a young person fully understands their abilities and worth.
Emily is passionate about equipping educators and student leaders to utilize culturally relevant and impactful strategies that will enable them to effectively reach and connect with this generation. She believes today’s students are full of potential and are the greatest generation we have ever seen. Inspiring these students to own their education, their leadership journey and their future is something that Emily is committed to, realizing there are no limits on what they can accomplish for the glory of God. She has been married to the love of her life, Gene, for over 29 years, and they have two amazing boys, Joshua and Jacob.
Week 2 speakers will include ACSI Europe staff and Duane Beach. Duane is a missionary in Germany with his wife, Daylin, and their two children. He was born and raised in Germany as the son of missionaries, and returned after college with Daylin in 2004 to serve at High Point Baptist Church in Vilseck, Germany. Duane loves preaching and teaching God's Word and walking beside people as they learn to live out the Gospel. Living in Europe for most of his life has also given Duane a passion for history and soccer.
It was a blessing to be with educators from five vocational schools to learn from each other ways that we can serve students who are gifted with more practical skills and abilities and may struggle with the academic setting.
The IV Christ-Centered Education Forum, held in Madrid under the theme “Strong Roots and Wings to Fly,” brought together educators, Christian leaders, and entrepreneurs focused on integrating faith into education.
