Highlights for March 2016

A summary of the ministry of ACSI Europe during the last month and current prayer requests

Dear Friends of ACSI Europe,

Trust that you have had a wonderful Easter celebration. Thank you for your continued interest in what the Lord is doing in our midst. We are so thankful to the Lord for keeping all of us safe in all our busy travels during this past month.

February 29-March 5
World Evangelical Alliance - International Leadership Forum
Laci Demeter represented ACSI at this leadership forum in Seoul, South Korea with the purpose of promoting church and Christian school relationships worldwide in fulfilling the Great Commission: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations" Mathew 28:19.
It was a blessing to work and pray together for four days with the 90 delegates representing 40 countries. It is encouraging to see more willingness from various Christian organizations to work together for building the Kingdom.

March 2-4
Polish / Czech / Slovak Directors’ Conference in Katowice, Poland
It was such a blessing to have 57 Christian school leaders from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Holland together to learn and share at our conference. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Steve DeGeorge did a great job sharing from his heart and his rich experience in Christian education. We also appreciated workshops from Andrea Grieger (Germany) and Leslie Johnson (Czech Republic). Thank you for your prayers! Thanks to Paul Madsen from our office for leading the conference.
Please continue to pray for the ministry in these three countries under the leadership of Leslie Johnson, former director of Christian International School of Prague.

March 24-26
Romanian Directors' Conference in Surduc, Romania

It was such a blessing to have 60 Christian school leaders together from all parts of Romania and Moldova for this leadership training event. We had two keynote speakers: Anna-Marie Russell, Director for ACSI Southern Africa, and Estuardo Salazar, Director for ACSI Latin America. It was a privilege to hear and learn from the wealth of experience and expertise of these fine leaders of ACSI Global.
We are especially thankful that God protected Stuart at the Brussels Airport during the terrorist attacks. He was about to board his plane to Budapest when the blasts happened. It delayed his arrival, but God miraculously helped him get to the conference just in time. WE FELT YOUR PRAYERS, thank you!
Stuart spent almost two days in Brussels in a made up shelter for passangers before he was able to continue his travels
As an answer to many prayers, Stuart arrives at Timisoara Airport (an alternative miracle route) just in time for him to teach at the conference

Education as a response

We live in a universe crafted by the Word of God. This foundation invites us to view education not as man’s attempt to impose meaning, but as an invitation to uncover the meaning already embedded in creation—Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.

The Crisis of the Modern Self

How can we as Christian school leaders address the decaying sense of identity in our students and, even sometimes, in our faculty? Is there any help from God's Word to anchor our identity to something real instead of the culture and its fractured view of human identity?

ACSI Europe Online Prayer

Join Christian school leaders from across the Europe region for a time of prayer, fellowship and encouragement. This group meets on Zoom the 2nd Thursday each month at 13:00 CET to focus our attention on God's presence and provision for His work through global Christian education.

ACSI Day of Prayer 2025

On March 4, 2025, join Christian school leaders, teachers and students around the world for a day of prayer. Resources are provided for schools to organize prayer-centered activities designed to focus our attention on God's presence and provision for His work through global Christian education.
