Are you looking for a solid place to stand? Though the world may be falling apart, there is solid ground and purpose for those who know where to find it! This year our theme is "Called to Lead" with a focus the big picture of God's goodness and His plan to use us to bless others through Christ. Plenary speakers provide teaching in the main sessions followed by student discussion groups, 3 workshop sessions that focus on leadership application with opportunities for collaborative learning during and after SLC.
You are invited to join this unique event for secondary students, ages 13-18, from September 21-25! Group registration ends on September 10, so register now! There is an orientation video prepared for chaperones at https://www.youtube.com/embed/uegYBHzOdq8
For many reasons, we have decided to host a virtual SLC event for 2020. We will use our Moodle platform as well as live, interactive video connections to make this SLC a blessing to your students while meeting the goals of this event.
SLC will extend over five days from September 21-25, giving students the opportunity to process and discuss the information while not interrupting too much of the school day. The main sessions will happen at a set time when students can gather as a group in each school to participant from 13:00 to 17:00. Student discussion groups and workshops will also be provided in an interactive, online setting. The interaction of the student group within each school is a VERY important part of this conference and insures that students grow together, work as a team and develop a solid Student Action Plan as a part of their growth in biblical leadership.
We ask that you register your group now. This will help us to plan better and to communicate directly with the chaperones from each school about the next steps. This is a unique opportunity for secondary students to grow in their faith and in their leadership skills, and to fellowship and worship together with like-minded young people from many nations.
REGISTRATION online (from April 1st).September 21-25, 2020 (ages 13-18) |
- You must have an active ACSI school membership or a special invitation to register.
Program for 13-18 year old students:
We have an SLC program which ensures that the experience for each grade level is appropriate and of the best quality. Students from age 13-15 are provided with their own workshops and discussion groups designed specifically for their needs, introducing them to the foundations of biblical leadership and the character qualities on which to build. Students from age 16 and up have discussion groups and workshops specifically for their age group as well.
We also provide training for older students who want to work and lead activities and discussions with the younger students. High school students who want to serve as discussion group leaders for either age group must participate in a short online training course beginning in early September.
Student Selection:
It is very important to begin your student selection well in advance. Please consider now how this will be done so that it most benefits your students and your school as a whole.
The graduated pricing serves to encourage schools to think about selecting students early so that they will be better prepared for this event. We have many ideas for helping you prepare your students for SLC. We want each student to get the most out of this event, which can only happen with your excellent support, teaching and prayer. NOTE: We require contact information for student discussion leaders because they must participate in a short online training course BEFORE the conference.
Pricing and Registration:
- Register as soon as possible! We must be able to plan the event based on your availability.
- Registration prices are per person: 20 E for western region and 10 E for eastern region schools.
- Schools must register their group and provide details about each participant.
- Schools must provide 1 designated chaperone for every 10 student participants.
