On-site and Blended Professional Development Options

Member schools receive priority consideration for teacher training seminars and professional teacher development with ACSI personnel. We recommend a blended learning(1) environment or coordination with other schools in your area to increase the sustainability and impact of training sessions. ACSI consultants will prioritize their availability for schools that work together for a regional professional development activity.

Teacher training for specific needs can also be made available to your school upon request. We can serve schools with several categories and topics for professional development. Below we list examples of available topics.

School and Classroom Culture - with topics such as discipline and classroom management, mentoring programs and methods, trauma informed care, restorative practices, developing a culture of belonging, worldview and spiritual formation practices.

Curriculum and Teaching Strategies - with topics such as collaborative teaching and learning, trauma informed care, Biblical integration strategies, supporting students with special needs, assessment strategies, engagement and motivation strategies, critical thinking strategies, and lesson/unit/course planning.

School Leadership and Governance - with topics such as quality teacher supervision and teacher coaching, board relations, mission alignment, curriculum development, parental engagement, distinctives of Christian school education, Christian school management, professional learning communities, strategic planning, and starting a Christian school.
