Conferences and Events

The ACSI Europe office hosts events for Christian school leaders and teachers in our region. The International Educational Leadership Conference takes place every 2 years while regional school leadership events are available in the opposing years.

Conferences for school leaders highlight themes such as “Implementing a Christian Philosophy of Education”, “Leading from the Heart”, and “Developing Professional Learning Communities”. Teacher conference themes and workshop topics may include “Strategies for Biblical Integration”, “Teaching to Heart and Mind”, “21st Century Skills in the Christian School” and many more.

A Student Leadership Conference is also available for all member schools and the International ACSI schools and addresses concepts of Christian leadership for about 400 participants from 15 countries each year.

Communicating Care in Education

A caring teacher-student relationship is a transformed relationship, positioning the teacher to be a trusted influence and sounding board for the student. However, despite a commitment to care, teachers are not always as successful in communicating care as they intend to be. There is often a disconnect between teacher caring intentions and actions, and the perceptions and experiences of their students. Bridging this gap can be the key to the positive outcomes.

Rethinking Assessment

"What a school decides to measure is particular to each school and expresses what that school community values in the realms of academics, social, physical, and spiritual development." -- This article from the ACSI Blog provides valuable insight for educators and how they think about assessment as a tool for learning and spiritual formation.
