December 2021 Ministry Highlights

Dear Partners in Christian Education,

Warm greetings from the ACSI Europe Team in Budapest! We pray that you are doing well.

We are approaching the end of another year. This year has been difficult in many ways related to the Covid pandemic. However, we are very thankful for your encouraging support during these times. We truly experienced the Lord's hand upon us as we navigated through the storms of changes and challenges.

Covid restrictions have caused all of our communities some painful separations and limited ability to exercise Christian hospitality. These difficult times highlighted once again the value of Christian school education that provides a holistic response to our needs. We praise God for all the Christian schools and Christian school educators and leaders we have been able to partner this year for His Kingdom.

October and November provided rich opportunities for leadership events, teacher training, and student leadership activities both in person and online.
  • October 13-15 Teacher Training in Suceava, Romania
  • October 21 Leadership Webinar: Current Challenges for Christian Schools
  • October 21-22 Leadership Academy Latin America - keynote session on Succession Planning in the Christian School
  • November 3-4 Romanian Teachers Conference Online (with 226 participants)
  • November 15-16 Student Leadership Conference follow-up Zoom meetings with chaperones and students
  • November 17-19 Annual ACSI Europe Staff Meetings in Budapest
  • November - December - School Visits/Services in Hungary

Annual Staff Meetings in Budapest

It was such a joy to meet with each other in person after about two years of "separation". Most of our staff were able to join our meetings in person, and the others joined in via Zoom.
 peaceonearth

Let us remember the words of the angels who sang to the shepherds so long ago. This song, the announcement of peace, was only possible because of the coming of Christ. As Christian school leaders and teachers, you are sharing the same message of "peace on earth" in your communities during these times when peace seems hard to find. Since Jesus, the Prince of Peace, has brought us peace with God, we are gifted to extend His peace here on earth to those around us.

May His peace reign in our hearts and lives this Christmas and in the coming year.

Please pray for the following upcoming events:

  • February 7 - online courses starting in Moodle
  • February 18-24 - Visiting Christian schools associations in the U.K.
  • March 2-5 - IELC 2022 Budapest (International Educational Leadership Conference). Please pray that this event could happen as an in-person event.
  • Please continue to pray for an increased engagement of our member schools in using the new Christian School Improvement Platform for their benefit and growth

Vocational Education Event Report 2024

It was a blessing to be with educators from five vocational schools to learn from each other ways that we can serve students who are gifted with more practical skills and abilities and may struggle with the academic setting.

4th Forum on Christian Education

The IV Christ-Centered Education Forum, held in Madrid under the theme “Strong Roots and Wings to Fly,” brought together educators, Christian leaders, and entrepreneurs focused on integrating faith into education. The forum provided a space to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of Christ-centered education in the country, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among institutions.

SLC report 2024

At SLC 2024, I recognized at this conference that my time abiding with God is one of the most formative and important parts of being a leader. I also saw myself realizing that I need to recognize my gifts in order to grow God's kingdom.
