ECCEN 2023: Understanding the times and knowing what to do

We would like to invite you, as Christian school leader, school board, politician, or teacher to our European Conference for Christian Education in the Netherlands (ECCEN).

March 15-17, 2023
Apeldoorn, the Netherlands

We live in a pluralistic and diverse society. How do we deal with the spirit of our times? What is our mission in this society as Christians and as Christian educators? At this year’s conference we hope to try to interpret and unmask the ‘zeitgeist’. It is important to recognise influences, be prepared and stay close to our calling! We aim to be a blessing by being salt and light in our communities, but how do we practice what we preach?

As Christian educators, we need to understand the present times and prepare ourselves and our students. Are we equipping our students through our curriculum and learning communities to be that salt and light? Moreover, the way that we approach this situation will depend on how God’s Word is working within us.

This present situation in today’s society urges us to meet together. We extend a warm invitation to European educators to join us at the 4th ECCEN conference hosted in Apeldoorn in the Netherlands. There will be lots of opportunities to meet, talk and share inspirational and practical examples.

Join us to find guidance for your teaching practice and help build a strategic vision in your management boards that shows others the reason for the hope you have.

A warm welcome to all!

Registration is now open. Please register via our website!

In early March, Christian school leaders from across Europe and beyond gathered in Budapest for the International Educational Leadership Conference (IELC 2026) under the theme “On Mission, On Guard.” Over 3 days of learning, prayer, and deep conversation, participants were encouraged not only to lead well today but to endure faithfully in the long-term calling of Christian education.
