Highlights - June 2018

Dear ACSI Europe Friends!

Warmest greetings from the ACSI Europe team! We are so thankful for your continued partnership in the ministry of reaching the next generations of Europe for God's Kingdom through Christian school education.

Coming to the end of another fruitful academic year, we would like to share with you some of the highlights of these activities, so that you may join us in praising God for His faithfulness and blessings.

March 24 - Romanian Regional Teachers Conference - Pascani, Romania
It is always a blessing to be with the Christian teachers from Romania. This regional teachers conference brought together some 100 educators in the north-eastern part of the country.
The conference theme was "Teaching for Heart and Mind". There were two plenary sessions and several workshop sessions. This event was hosted by a Christian orphanage. The children of the orphanage sang to the participants, which was very special.

April 13-14 - Czech Christian Teachers Conference, Trinec, Czech Republic
ACSI Europe was invited to teach a plenary session at the conference of 200+ Christian teachers on Teaching for heart and Mind, and 21st Century Learning at the Christian School. Most of these Christian teachers teach in the public schools of Czech Republic.

In-Service training at Irinyi János Reformed School in Kazincbarcika, Hungary
ACSI Europe was invited to speak at two in-service days at Christian schools in Hungary. One of them was a Lutheran school in Budapest, which became a member school of ACSI just recently, and the other was a Reformed school (in the picture) in Kazincbarcika.
Both in-service days addressed foundational elements of Christian school education and Classroom Management.

Hungarian Delegation Visiting ACSI HQ
Laci visited ACSI HQ as part of a team of six Hungarian educational leaders to be trained in Christian textbook development. The Hungarian government supported the Hungarian Reformed Church in its ambition to develop biblically integrated textbooks for its schools. The team was blessed to visit ACSI HQ where we studied the process and the steps of textbook development, along with how biblical truth can be integrated in the curriculum.
We were also blessed to visit two Christian schools in the are where we sat in classed observing the use of ACSI textbooks.

ACSI Europe's Online Courses
We taught several online courses in the spring, and have developed new courses to be offered in the fall.

We have also received ACSI approval to teach our quality courses for credit, which is a wonderful recognition of our efforts.

4th Forum on Christian Education

The IV Christ-Centered Education Forum, held in Madrid under the theme “Strong Roots and Wings to Fly,” brought together educators, Christian leaders, and entrepreneurs focused on integrating faith into education. The forum provided a space to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of Christ-centered education in the country, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among institutions.

SLC report 2024
