October 2025 Ministry Highlights

Dear Praying Friends of ACSI Europe,

In October, the ACSI Europe team had the joy of serving Christian educators through four events in France, Belgium, and Romania—each distinct in context, yet unified in purpose: to strengthen Christian schools in their mission of educating for God’s glory.

France: A Conference Marked by Unity and Encouragement
In France, the Administrators’ Conference gathered 39 participants from five countries for what the team described as “one of our best conferences yet.” Keynote speaker Wayne Lynch spoke with deep understanding of the French educational context, offering wisdom and practical tools that resonated widely. Participants expressed gratitude for the clarity, encouragement, and attention given to their schools’ specific challenges. The atmosphere was filled with peace, cooperation, and a sense of God’s presence—even down to the small details that reminded the team of His provision. A highlight came at the close when Wayne surprised attendees by personally offering financial awards to four schools that developed outstanding funding plans—a first in the 22-year history of the event.

Belgium: Growth Through Shared Reflection
The one-day event in Belgium gathered teachers and leaders for a day of learning and conversation focused on the character of the Christian teacher and biblical integration in education. Led by Roslyn Barnes and supported by Bert Vogel and local hosts, the day included strong interaction in school teams and grade-level groups. Directors later shared how the teaching “broke open our problems” and helped their teams find unity through shared biblical insight and practical tools for biblical integration across the curriculum. Bert Vogel continues to support the strategic improvement and cooperation of this network of Flemmish Christian schools.

Romania: Deepening Mission and Passing the Vision cluj25 b
In Romania, ACSI hosted both the annual Directors’ and Teachers’ Conferences with high participation and evident enthusiasm. Directors explored Standard 1 of the Christian School Improvement Platform (CSIP)—a deep dive into mission, vision, and foundational school documents. Discussions and testimonies highlighted the importance of clarity, alignment with God’s purposes, and continual renewal of the school’s calling through a regular and collaborative review process. 180 teachers then gathered for a full Saturday of professional and spiritual growth. Sessions led by Roslyn Barnes, Laci Demeter and Paul Madsen, among others, challenged and inspired, while the presence of many young educators reflected a hopeful generational transition within Romanian Christian education. School visits before and after the conferences reinforced these connections, reminding all that Christian schools across the nation are part of a growing, interdependent network serving families and communities for Christ.

Across all three nations, one theme stood out: God is at work through His people. Whether through answered prayers for travel, unity among schools, or renewed clarity of mission, each event left participants encouraged and ready to continue building schools that reflect the the full story of the Gospel and the unique and powerful hope of education which recognizes and promotes God’s Kingdom instead of our own.

Announcing our first ever ACSI Europe Poetry Contest winners... Students were invited to respond to the theme of "Oh how I love Your law" — drawn from Psalm 119:97 — expressing their faith in their own words, in their own language.

2026 school year in review - Thank You

As another school year comes to a close, we find ourselves pausing — as we should — to ask a question that matters more than any metric or milestone. What has God been doing through Christian schools in Europe this year?

The answer is larger than any one school, conference, country, or organization. It is a story told in classrooms and conference halls, in student testimonies and teacher conversations, in policy discussions at the European Parliament and around the graveside of a faithful servant.

Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence

There is a question running through every staffroom, every school board meeting, and every teacher's planning session right now, whether it is spoken aloud or not: What does faithfulness look like in the age of artificial intelligence?
