September 2018 Highlights

Dear ACSI Europe Friends!

Warmest greetings from the ACSI Europe team and blessings for a new school year! We praise God for His faithfulness and for partnership with you in the ministry of reaching the next generations of Europe for God's Kingdom through Christian school education!

We now have the summer behind us, and we are ready to go full speed again to meet the needs of Christian teachers and schools in Europe and beyond. We NEED YOUR PRAYERS for the following events and programs that God would use them to equip and encourage both students and teachers for their tasks ahead.

As we return to school, we want to also return to the source of truth, God's Word.
I Timothy 3:16-17

August 21-24 - Summer Institute, Budapest, Hungary

It was a pleasure to work with the 38 teachers in the 30-hour summer institute. This is a government accredited teacher training program ACSI Europe offers, and therefore contributes to the teacher certification of the participants. This time we studied classroom management, conflict resolution, learning styles, and project based learning. The participants had to develop a project plan implementing all the content of the training. We pray for the teachers that they would apply much of what they had learned in their teaching this year.
International Student Leadership Conference, Zánka, Hungary

ACSI Europe is celebrating the 20th anniversary of serving student leaders through one of its most valued events, the student leadership conference.

This year our conference registration filled up within a few weeks after we opened the registration. We expect close to 400 participants, which is the maximum number at the camp currently.
Within less than three weeks, students gather from 40 schools in 15 countries with the desire to be inspired, encouraged, and equipped for walking on the path of leadership. Please pray for the speakers, chaperones, workshop leaders, discussion group leaders, and all the participants that they would be once again richly blessed through this event.

We appreciate your prayers and continued support. Without your financial support many of these potential leaders could not benefit from the blessings of this program.

Our plan for future is to hold two conferences, one in the last week of September, and the other in the first week of October to allow more schools and students to participate. Having two conferences will also enable us to add a new program for middle-school students to the conference. For many years, schools have been asking us if they could bring younger students. Please pray for wisdom for us as we develop this new leadership program for younger students for SLC 2019.
October 1 - Online Professional Development Courses Begin

We are busy advertising and fine-tuning our online professional development courses that will begin on October 1.

We praise God for this opportunity of reaching many Christian teachers regardless of their location, and bringing them together into an online learning community to grow together both professionally and in also in their biblical worldview application.

We also praise the Lord that now our online courses are approved by ACSI HQ, and therefore teachers can receive CEUs (continued education units) toward their teacher certification.

ACSI Day of Prayer 2025

On March 4, 2025, join Christian school leaders, teachers and students around the world for a day of prayer. Resources are provided for schools to organize prayer-centered activities designed to focus our attention on God's presence and provision for His work through global Christian education.

A Stronger Future for Christian Education

Christian education in Europe faces growing challenges as societal norms shift and regulatory frameworks become increasingly complex. To navigate these challenges effectively, collaboration among schools, parents, school associations, and international organizations is crucial.

Romanian Conference Reports 2024

Conferences for Christian school leaders and teachers in Romania included 2 regional teacher events and a special event for school leaders in 2024. This summarizes the events with some key feedback from the participants who benefited greatly from their time together and collaboration in learning.

Vocational Education Event Report 2024

It was a blessing to be with educators from five vocational schools to learn from each other ways that we can serve students who are gifted with more practical skills and abilities and may struggle with the academic setting.
