Student Opportunities through ACSI Europe

ACSI Europe is deeply committed to supporting students as they grow in faith, character, and service. We seek to provide meaningful opportunities that nurture students spiritually, academically, and personally—helping them serve their communities, discover their gifts, and live out their faith with purpose and confidence.

Our student programs are dynamic and continually developing to meet the changing needs of schools and students across Europe. The following four areas represent the primary pillars of student opportunities at ACSI Europe.

ACSI offers the following services directly to students:

  1. Student Leadership Training & Events
  2. Ministry & Service Opportunities
  3. Extracurricular Programs
  4. Spiritual Formation & Learning

1. Student Leadership

ACSI Europe is passionate about helping students grow as Christ-centered leaders. One of the key ways we do this is through our flagship Student Leadership Conference (SLC) in Hungary and our new student leadership conference scheduled to be held in the UK. Each fall, high school students from ACSI member schools gather to deepen their faith, strengthen their leadership skills, and experience fellowship and worship with peers from across Europe and beyond.Group Photo 2

The Student Leadership Conference is part of a broader leadership development pathway that includes student leadership training programs that provide guidance, mentorship, and practical opportunities for growth, as well as support from ACSI staff to help schools prepare for SLC, maximize student learning during the event, and implement meaningful action plans after returning to school.

You can find detailed information and the registration link from our Student Conferences page

2. Ministry & Service Opportunities

ACSI Europe encourages students to grow through cross-cultural ministry and service opportunities. These experiences help students live out their faith in practical ways while building meaningful connections with others.DSC09578

ACSI European schools can partner with schools around the world through the Great Commission Project, in partnership with Joshua Expeditions. Whenever possible, we also aim to facilitate Great Commission Project opportunities within Europe, providing students with practical, mission-focused experiences that strengthen both their faith and their character.

3. Extracurricular Programs

ACSI Europe believes that every student has unique gifts that should be encouraged and developed. Through a variety of creative and extracurricular programs, students are given opportunities to express their creativity, grow in confidence, and connect with their peers.IMG 2062

These opportunities include:

  • Student-led projects, showcases, and performances
  • Events and activities that celebrate student achievement and provide meaningful hands-on experiences

4. Spiritual Formation & Learning

ACSI Europe is committed to supporting the spiritual growth of students in meaningful and practical ways. We provide a range of programs and resources designed to help students deepen their faith and grow in character.

These might include on-site training and workshops delivered at schools or special events.  Video resources focused on faith, character development, and leadership.  Additional programs that support students in living out their faith in their daily lives will be planned and implemented as opportunities arise.

Some presentations are available on our YouTube or Vimeo channels.

SLC report 2025

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and blessings poured out during the ACSI Student Leadership Conferences (SLC) this year! These gatherings brought together students and chaperones from 47 schools across Europe for a time of worship, discipleship, and leadership growth centered on the theme “Leaders Who Love Truth.”

Strengthening Critical Thinking

Christian schools are often intentional about teaching worldview and preparing students to engage with competing ideas. Yet the way we structure this engagement can either nurture deep critical thinking or unintentionally foster shallow habits of argument. Here are some practical tools to support critial thinking in the classroom.

Education as a Restoration of Hope

Today we turn to the good news: God’s plan of restoration through Christ. This is not only a personal hope but also a framework for how we think about education, leadership, and the shaping of society. How can we build meaningful outcomes into the process of teaching and learning which truly reflect the hope we have in Christ?

Recognizing the Problem of Sin

The foundational, yet often overlooked, reality is the way sin impacts both teaching and learning. As school leaders, we cannot view education merely as the transfer of knowledge or the development of skills. Education is always moral and spiritual, shaped either by truth that comes from God or by distortions introduced by sin.
