On-line Training

ACSI Professional Development is accomplished, in part, through our online course offerings. Each course is designed as a practical and highly interactive course for all participants at each course offering. It does not require you to travel or even to connect to a live lecture, but instead uses an asynchronous environment on a Moodle platform to provide quality content in the form of short videos and reading selections to each participant. The courses are greatly enhanced by the participant interaction and co-learning and teaching as well as the direct application of concepts to the Christian school classroom.

Personalized, Professional, Dynamic, Online Learning Communities
  • Personalized: Studying on your own schedule and focusing on what is important in your school setting
  • Professional: Building on the 4 key skills of 21st Century learning with and from professional educators
  • Dynamic: Enriching your understanding of both content and methods for quality, Christ-centered education
  • Online: Learning together with colleagues in multiple countries and varied educational settings
  • Learning Communities: Ensuring strong group engagement that will continue throughout the course and beyond

ACSI Europe is certified to issue CEUs (Continuing Education Units) valid within the ACSI Global community of Christian schools. These CEU's can be collected for credit toward ACSI teacher certification. An electronic certificate of completion is available and a printed certificate is available for a small processing fee. The purpose of ACSI Teacher Certification is to strengthen Christian schools by credentialing educators who meet established professional and biblical requirements, which promotes continued professional learning and increased effectiveness. Establishing and maintaining the certification of staff and administration is an essential step toward professional credibility and growth. ACSI certification is available to qualified teachers, directors, and administrators of all nations.

Totally Positive Teaching

  • Discipline problems, limited resources, crowded classrooms. Teachers face many issues each day that can wear down their love of education. How can they stay focused and energized day in and day out? In Totally Positive Teaching, Joseph Ciaccio shares an approach that transformed him from a burned-out veteran teacher struggling joylessly through each day to a professional who has fun with his students, guiding them to success while enjoying the teaching process. This course is based on Joseph's book and includes input from him specifically for this course.

21st Century Learning in the Christian School

What is the "Framework for 21st Century Learning"? These questions will guide our learning process and we develop an understanding of our students' current needs and what that demands of us as Christian teachers.

The Learning Process (coming soon)
