Highlights from August 2017

Current news and prayer requests from ACSI Europe

Warmest greetings to you from the ACSI Europe staff in Budapest, Hungary! We pray and trust that you are are doing well.

In this ACSI Europe HIGHLIGHTS we wish to share with you some highlights of the summer, as well as our excitement about the new academic year just beginning in Europe! The Lord has given us many open doors to serve His Kingdom through quality Christian schooling.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9

June
- Laci Demeter was blessed to be able to continue his PhD studies with a week of on campus studies, followed by six weeks of online coursework.
- Laci Demeter spoke (one plenary and three workshops) at the Hungarian Reformed Schools' International Conference in Pécs, Hungary.
July
- Laci Demeter and Daniel Neuhaus attended the ACSI leadership meetings in Colorado Springs. It was a blessing to pray, share and learn together with fellow ACSI leaders from around the world. It is a special privilege to serve the Lord through such a dedicated professional organization as ACSI.
- We also had a major renovation at the ACSI Europe office, replacing 25 windows with all the related paint jobs. This is a huge blessing as many of our old windows did not close properly.
August
- Teacher training in Prague, where Paul Madsen taught six hours on cooperative learning techniques
- Accredited Teacher training in Budapest, where Laci Demeter taught 30 hours on various elements of biblical integration in the classroom.

ACSI HQ in Colorado Springs - It is always a privilege to visit this place and learn about what's happening through Christian schools around the world.
At ACSI Europe, we are so blessed to have new windows everywhere in the building. Some of the rooms, like this upstairs meeting and dining room, have been repainted and a new floor put in.

The International Collaborative Project idea was presented at the leadership meetings in Colorado Springs as a new service of ACSI through its Europe Office to connect Christian school teachers from around the world for developing and implementing a high quality project with meaningful biblical integration to foster international collaboration at teacher and student levels within the ACSI family of Christian schools.
Please pray that this project reaches many schools, and becomes a means of building connections within the Body of Christ for mutual spiritual and professional growth and encouragement.

We praise the Lord for the many opportunities we have to reach out and bless the Christian school in Europe and beyond through our professional services and personal encouragement.
THANK YOU for your partnership and prayerful support of what the Lord is doing in Europe through Christian school education.
Please pray for:
September 27-30 - Student Leadership Conference to be held in Zanka, Hungary. Theme of the conference is "Leading with Wisdom". We just had to close the registration due to reaching our top limit. We have a record high level of participation - close to 370 people. Please pray that all participants would learn how they can become the leaders God wants them to be.
October 7 - Romanian Regional Teachers Conference in Bucharest. Please pray for this event that it would provide the necessary inspiration and professional support to the Christian teachers in the region of Bucharest, the capitol of Romania.
October 14 - Kindergarten Enabler in Arad, Romania. Please pray for the early educators that they would be encouraged in and equipped for their ministry.

THANK YOU for your ongoing prayers and support of ACSI Europe's ministry!
