2026 Day of Prayer

Power in Prayer 2026

The ACSI Day of Prayer is an annual event that advances Christ-centered education by advocating through prayer. These past few school years have presented many unique challenges, but God has given our school communities the strength to overcome adversities and pursue new opportunities. We encourage you to join ACSI when we unite across the globe to pray for Christ-centered education next year on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

2026 Day of Prayer Theme: Power in Prayer

"The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." — James 5:16

This year, ACSI invites Christian educators and schools worldwide to come together under the theme “Power in Prayer.” Rooted in James 5:16, this promise reminds us that God listens and works when His people pray. Prayer isn’t about perfect words or flawless faith. It’s about humble dependence on a powerful God. Like Elijah, who was "a man with a nature like ours," we’re called to pray with confidence—not because of who we are, but because of who God is.

As we unite for the Global Day of Prayer, let’s:

  • Pray boldly for the gospel to transform our schools.
  • Pray continually for God to use Christian education to make disciples of all nations.
  • Pray with expectation, not for our will, but for God’s

Wherever you are, whatever your role, your prayers matter. Let’s join together, trusting that God will use our prayers to move hearts, transform schools, and change the world.

Education as a Restoration of Hope

Today we turn to the good news: God’s plan of restoration through Christ. This is not only a personal hope but also a framework for how we think about education, leadership, and the shaping of society. How can we build meaningful outcomes into the process of teaching and learning which truly reflect the hope we have in Christ?

Recognizing the Problem of Sin

The foundational, yet often overlooked, reality is the way sin impacts both teaching and learning. As school leaders, we cannot view education merely as the transfer of knowledge or the development of skills. Education is always moral and spiritual, shaped either by truth that comes from God or by distortions introduced by sin.

ACSI Europe Online Prayer

Join Christian school leaders from across the Europe region for a time of prayer, fellowship and encouragement. This group meets on Zoom the 2nd Thursday each month at 13:00 CET to focus our attention on God's presence and provision for His work through global Christian education.

Education as an Affirmation of Identity

Here we explore one of the most pressing issues facing Christian schools today: how we understand and communicate identity and purpose. Our role as school leaders is to help students discover who they are and why they are here, according to God’s Word, and to ensure that our school culture and curriculum reflect this foundational truth.
